Welcome to the Whitewater Middle School Band page! My name is Liz Elliott.  I direct the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands, and teach band lessons. This will be my eleventh year at Whitewater Middle School and twelfth year in the district. I am very excited for the 2018-2019 school year!

Here's a little background about me. I received my bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater.  My instrumental emphasis was on the piano and French horn.  In the summer of 2015, I graduated with my master's degree from the VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.  I truly enjoy working with the bands and strive to get students excited about music. I am looking forward to a great year at WMS!

Why Whitewater?

When the job posted for the elementary music position at Washington, I could not turn down the opportunity to apply to the district. As a graduate of UWW, I know that this is a great place to be. I have had contact with college students and professors who have been willing to help out and work with my students. How great to have these resources in town! Aside from the university aspect, I was very drawn to the appeal of the importance of family and community to this district. I feel that strong family and community relationships are important and vital to successful school districts. We are lucky to have that here. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Whitewater teaching team!
