Congratulations to the fifteen 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that represented Whitewater Middle School at the Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network Academic Bowl on March 10 in Fort Atkinson. Six school districts participated. Whitewater Middle School did very well earning second place overall with 700 points.  Stone Bank took first place with 739 points and Elkhorn came in third with 649 points.  Other participating schools were East Troy - 604 points, Fort Atkinson - 592 points, and Delavan Darien - 518 points.


The following Whitewater students earned special recognition:
In Language Arts –
Keith Cameron - 1st place, 6th grade
Sophie Walton – 2nd place, 7th grade
Cora Linos – 1st place, 8th grade
Carter Waelchli - 3rd place, 8th grade
In Science –
Calvin Baker – 2nd place, 7th grade
In Social Studies –
Emma Weigel - 2nd place, 6th grade
Andrew Rollette - 1st place, 7th grade
Denver Isbell – 3rd place, 8th grade
Whitewater Team 2 (Reese Brantmeier, Anderson Waelchli, Ian Killoran, Emma Weigel, and Andrew Rollette) placed second in a tiebreaker with Stone Bank Team 2 in the Current Events portion of the competition.
Other Whitewater team members included: Josh Keller, Aaron Katzman, Elijah Grall, and Reid Gunnink.

Congratulations to all of the participants for their contributions to the team's overall success and a special thank you for doing a great job representing Whitewater and Whitewater Middle School.  Well Done!
