WMS Students Learn About Good Digital Citizenship
WMS students gathered on Wednesday, November 16 to learn about Internet Safety and preventing Cyber bullying.  Officer Jake Hintz from the Whitewater Police Department shared important information with students about keeping their online profiles private, appropriate shares of information and pictures, preventing and dealing with cyber bullying, and the laws and consequences surroundings these topics.  WMS is committed to providing each student with a safe learning environment, this includes providing support in the event that out of school online events make their way into the school building.  6th grade students will continue learning about responsible online behavior in their required Computers class with Ms. Ketter.  They will get information about what to do if they are a victim or a witness to unsafe use of the Internet or Cyberbullying.  A parent informational session will be held on Wednesday, November 30 from 6-7 pm.  This session will be geared towards parents and guardians who would like to know more about keeping their children safe online.
