After living in some of the most amazing places the western U.S. has to offer, my husband and I moved to Whitewater in 2008 to live closer to family. We ended up staying here, though, because we fell in love with Whitewater's unique combination of small-town friendliness with the diversity and vibrancy of a much larger community. We have found Whitewater to be a great place to raise our three young children, two of whom attend school in the district.
I have a B.A. in Elementary Education (certified to teach grades K-8) with a minor in Biology. Philosophically, I support a student-centered approach to education that incorporates hands-on, inquiry-based instruction. I am passionate about Science, especially environmental education, and love learning about and experiencing different cultures. I am looking forward to my fifth year of teaching in Whitewater and bringing my experiences and passions to this year's 7th grade students!
